As such, and in this spirit it is offered for inspection, and I cannot think I am violating my confidences in thus reproducing a general outline of a case which greatly interested me during life, and absolutely astonished me after death, by the evidence it afforded of the extraordinary tolerance which the system sometimes exhibits under the pressure of an otherwise necessarily, if not instantaneously, fatal injury :?
